Cinque Terre should be a must visit destination on your Italian itinerary, excellent relaxing spot and a real visual treat. Great for family and couples!
This should arguably a ‘must do’ item on your Italian trip. A cluster of 5 glorious villages nestled along the blue sea of Liguria in the province of Genoa.
You can literally spend a whole week and yet not see everything the regions offers, but most of us don’t have that kind of luxury. And that’s where this article will come handy.
For time and budget conscious travelers, I recommended staying at La Spezia and take an all day train pass (See the link below for the train pass).

Train run every 15 minutes throughout the day.
You can hop between any of the village using the train pass, however to get the most out of your time, I suggest travelling to Monterosso and work your way backward. That way you would enjoy the beautiful Manarola in the glowing sunset.
There are lots of small boats vendors in Manarola which offer sunset on the water experience which in my opinion is worth every penny. If you are comfortable, you could dive off the boat and swim for a bit in the sea for very refreshing experience.
And don’t forget to try the freshly made local Genovese pesto.
